Most commonly used as a fixative in many big brand perfumes and has been traditionally used to preserve and add exquisite fragrance to pomanders.
Aroma is woody and quite heavy; definitely a base note. However it has a slight sweet floral (reminiscent of violet flower fragrance), slightly powdery middle note.
Minimum Irone content is 8%
