leptospermum scoparium Cas 22379-44-8
Obtained by steam distillation of the leaves and terminal branches. Colour clear with a light yellow tone. Odour is best described as medium, sweet and gentle, with woody similar to cedar undertones. Not as odifereous as Australian Tea Tree.
It is similar in many respects to Australian Tea Tree Melaleuca alternifolia, except the odour, and the price (!).
