Leucidal Max - what is it?
It's pretty much the same process fo manufacturing as Leucidal but with lysozyme added to the process to increase the efficacy of the antimicrobial properties. In simple terms this is done by stimulating the bacteriocins (microbe enemies). For us it provides an increased level of confidence.
(We've used it for a year in side by side comparison with leucidal and found both to be very effective at 4%). If price is a significant driver then we reckon you can get away with 3 - 4%.
( but ensure you test your products before going to market).
- Add it to products with a pH between 3 and 8
- Performance is best at a pH below 6
- Add it during the cooling phase of the formulation process at temperatures lower than 70°C (158°F)
- We recommend adding it at cool-down when your formulation temperature is below 40°C (104°F) to avoid destabilization issues.
