Cold pressed from the seeds of vaccinium corymbosum
What we love about this little gem is that is instantly recognizable from the scent of the fresh berries, as soon as the cap is opened. Our current batch is a beaut purple colour, and a quite marked odour. Totally enthralled we are!
Blueberry seed is a potent source of tocopherols, carotenoids and natural antioxidants. It is high in essential Omega 3 fatty acids, containing a high percentage of alpha linolenic acid.
Like other berry seed oils, with its free radical scavenging properties, Blueberry Seed Oil is ideally suited for use in anything that you would be inclined to rub on your skin.
Its fairly costly so its highly recommend for facial serums, lip balms, and eye and neck creams.
When compared to the three types we have it is very much like the other two in feel - it has the strongest odour
TIP - this is the oil we use in our morning smoothie, along with organic milk thistle; just a teaspoon
