This fine white/IVORY powder, is ground from the whole oat. It is used as a thickener, binder and protein source in skin care products. It has a particle size of 74 microns US mesh 200. (see docs) It can be used in creams, lotions, soaps, facials and milk baths. Combine with powdered milk, herbs, honey, starches, nut meals or clays. Colloidal oatmeal works great to help relieve dry and troubled skin patches
Since colloidal oatmeal has an anti-itch property that helps reduce the need to itch. Soaking in the bath usually brings soothing comfort.
